About ACT

Arizona Children’s Theatre (ACT) is a dynamic and emerging non-profit
children’s theatre group exclusively for the young talents of Munds Park
kids. Under the guidance of director Lynn Rouyer and the enthusiastic
participation of dedicated parents, ACT has become a nurturing platform
for children to explore their acting skills and showcase their creativity on
stage. Our young performers have immersed themselves in captivating
productions, including the enchanting “Lion King, Jr,” the magical “Mary
Poppins, Jr,” the exhilarating “Moana, Jr,” the whimsical “Peter Pan, Jr,”

and the beautiful Beauty and the Beast.

Through these theatrical experiences, the children have not only learned

valuable skills but also discovered the delight and fulfillment that comes

from being part of a vibrant stage performance.

About the Director

Lynn Rouyer, the director of ACT, is a passionate advocate for empowering children within the theater group. She encourages kids to embrace roles as Junior Counselors alongside their cast membership. This unique opportunity allows young performers to lead invigorating warm-up exercises and contribute to the music and choreography aspects of the productions. With a wealth of experience working with children in theater, spanning from Illinois to Arizona, Lynn has nurtured young talents in various settings, from small groups like Mouse House Players to directing casts of over 120 students for the Paradise School District. She has also established her own studio, “Lynn Hope’s Talent Center,” and spearheaded a beloved children’s TV show called “Lynn Hope and Friends” in 1983. Under Lynn’s guidance, children gain confidence as they prepare for future leadership roles. Her ultimate goal is to ignite a lifelong love for theater empowering them to carry this invaluable experience into the classroom, pursue college scholarships, and thrive in their adult lives.
